About Rebecca

Rebecca is a musician based in South East London.

As well as an excellent classical cellist, Rebecca also considers herself a collaborative composer, working closely alongside composers to create new art and experiences for diverse audiences. Her practice has taken her from clubs, abandoned offices and hotels frequented by witches, to the Barbican, the Athens Acropolis and Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.

Her piano trio Terra Invisus specialises in exploratory free improvisation and the performance of new works, and has recently released their debut album 'Visions', a collection of works commissioned by the ensemble. In 2022, Terra Invisus won the prestigious  Gladys Puttick Prize for improvisation in 2022.

In 2024, Rebecca was awarded the Essentials Fund by Sound and Music.

Rebecca is a graduate of the University of York and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of music and Dance, where she was a Headley Trust and Montague Cleeve Scholarship holder.
